About us
Since 1880, TSC members have sailed and raced many different types of boat on the Tyne estuary and North Sea, continually developing to the present day. We have a proud heritage, having produced world champion sailors, staged national and world championships, and also won the WLYC 24-hour race in 1981.
New members are always welcome, whether beginners or Olympic
standard! The clubhouse is generally open on Sundays and
Wednesday/Friday evenings from April to October, which are our main
sailing times during the summer season. From November to March the bar
is open on Wednesday evenings from 8:30pm.

We also have a diverse handicap fleet and welcome all classes to sail
at Tynemouth.
